The firm is wholly Canadian-owned and is comprised of a team of senior engineers and technologists who specialize in various fields such as geotechnical engineering, hydrological assessment, pavement technology, environmental engineering, instrumentation and monitoring, materials engineering, inspection and testing, and concrete technology.

The company's founder and president, Param Dhillon, has been in the engineering industry for more than 25 years. He was the president of DBA Engineering for over two decades before joining forces with three DBA managers, Prabhdeep Lubana, Nick Sibilia, and Jimmy Misketi, to establish PNJ Engineering Inc. In 2021, Abid Sahi, a seasoned geotechnical and environmental lead, joined PNJ's management team as Principal.
